invitation to brief Rhode Island executives on a bil introduced
to the 109th Session of Congress "H.R.
2234: 21st Century Health Information Act of 2005."
This
bill is cosponsored by Senator Hillary Clinton and former
Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Congressman Kennedy will
discuss how this bill will showcase Rhode Island as a best
practice and will energize the Rhode Island business community
at this meeting on the opportunities of this bill for all
business in the State of Rhode Island.
Patrick Kennedy's vision
is that Rhode Island will become a "test site" for a national "Universal
Health Care Record" to help subvert the 100,000 lives that
are lost each year due to inaccurate medical paper records
and other mistakes.
