Rhode Island continues to face rising healthcare costs, with commercial health insurance premiums increasing faster than inflation in multiple years over the past decade. In a new joint statement, the Rhode Island Business Group on Health (RIBGH) and Worksite Wellness Council of Rhode Island (WWCRI) examine the factors driving these increases and discuss why healthcare affordability has become a critical economic issue for employers, employees, and the state.
